Este projecto teve por objectivo a reabilitação do edifício com valor patrimonial e a sua ampliação de modo a libertar algumas funções, condicionantes e condicionadas actualmente pelas características do imóvel. Pretende-se também a sua reorganização funcional, repondo-lhe a unidade estética, com especial atenção para as zonas técnicas de modo a retirar a "pressão" destas actividades que obrigaram à implantação de tecnologias "intrusivas" neste ambiente com forte carga cultural.

The rehabilitation of this historic building and its enlargement was conditioned by its own characteristics and the site topography. The functional re-organization, with special attention for the technical zones required in such a programme, identified the place to introduce the residential extension. There, tanks, walls with niches, artistic pavements of pebble rolled, and still some physical memories reveal the antiquity of the place, were reappraised and reinstated for the benefit of users.
